Warren Buffet

Warren Buffet is a stock buyer. In 1998 he started buying Coca-Cola stock like an addict. By 1989, Buffet was now, personally, worth more than $3.8 billion dollars. Within the next ten years, he would be worth ten times that amount. During the remainder of the 1990's the stock catapulted as high as $80,000 per share. Even with this astronomical feat, as the dot-com frenzy began to take hold, Warren Buffet was accused of "losing his touch". In 1999, when Berkshire reported a net increase of 0.5% per share, several newspapers ran stories about the demise of the Oracle. Confident that the technology bubble would burst, Warren Buffet continued to do what he did best: allocate capital into great businesses that were selling below intrinsic value. His efforts did not go unrewarded. When the markets finally did come to their senses, Warren Buffet was once again a star. Berkshire's stock recovered to its previous levels after falling to around $45,000 per share, and Buffet was once again seen as an investment icon.

Ft. Bliss Technology

Fort Bliss is using new simulation technology to help teach soldiers in training. Fort Bliss has received gun simulators that resemble real guns. The bullets being fired are not real, but are shown hitting the targets on the video display monitors. They even received Hummer truck simulations which have the guns-man on top of the vehicle shooting at his targets while the display monitors show the vehicle is moving down actual roads in the particular area they are simulating.

Eighteen Wheeler Accident

A two-vehicle crash cut the power on Gateway Blvd. West. Two electric poles were broken down by two eighteen wheelers. The two vehicles has crashed together and slid into the poles, knocking the power out. The bill to repair the electric poles will go to the insurance of the semi company or the motorist himself. No serious injuries came from the crash, except some business had trouble with their work.

Business down Vicount lost power because of this accident. A worker for ‘Computer Experts’ explained that they could not confirm with clients for repairs to computers because they could not receive phone calls. The power was restored just an hour later.
